Extremely beautiful 3 piece silver teacup set known as "Lama cup" with holder and lid with various Tibetan floral motifs and auspicious buddhist signs from Kalimpong, WestBengal.

The holder with a cylindrical base, having three cartouches with repoussé flowers surrounded by foliage, interspersed with incised floral designs, opening into a wide saucer designed as a eight-petal flower, one with auspicious signs set within individual cartouches, surrounded by incised floral motifs and a central opening in which the teacup sits, the three-tiered lids surmounted by a spherical finial with jasper stone, the teacup with incised ornamentation patterns. Weight 364 gms and height 8 inch.

I have know the owner from the two purchases I made from him eons back when he had a store in Sunder Nagar. The store was called ' The Studio'.He is a collector and a connoisseur.
I was pleased to come across his store online. As usual , I was not disappointed. You might feel that his stuff is expensive, but they are original vintage and some antique pieces and get the value.
The piece I bought is even more beautiful than the picture.
